"Put your hands against the wall. You're under arrest for impersonating a fat, slutty police officer. Kitty Kat, you're coming with me for further questioning."

Deep-Fried Pizza. It sounds awesome and terrible all at the same time.

Wednesday, October 25

So, I was surfing the Martha Stewart site today and I'm pretty sure they're now cooking babies. Or something.

Tuesday, October 24

Jamon iberico de bellota is widely regarded as the world's greatest pork product. Recently, it was approved for export to the USA, but since it takes three years to cure and age, we have to wait until 2008. More here.

Iggy Pop and the Stooges have the funniest concert rider ever.

This morning after I woke up I learned how to talk, interacted with some other toddlers, started school, and then got abducted and killed by a man who hurts children. My second time through I graduated college, got a job as a doctor, got married to an ugly woman, had two kids, and died of a heart attack while playing in a seniors softball league.

Alter Ego is weird. The load times can be a little frustrating occasionally, but it's a pretty cool toy to mess with during your lunch break.

A pilot's perspective on the plane crash from last week.

Thursday, October 12

I'm taking a break from making fun of the Japanese today, because this is awesome.

Wednesday, October 11

Looks like some jackass just crashed a small plane or a helifopter into an apartment building at 524 E. 72nd st. I haven't seen it reported on any major news sites yet, but it's all over the TV.

Daring and creativity vs. $31.74.

Tuesday, October 10

Beware of nut-nappers.

Friday, October 6

So, we got this going for us, which is nice.

The New York Rangers are awesome.

Wednesday, October 4

I went to Barnes & Noble today, looked at the hockey prediction mags. A lot of pundits have Patrice Bergeron scoring 80+ points. That would be great, but it ain't gonna happen.

Patrice Bergeron is good for 70-75 points. That's respectable, certainly, but it's not why he's important. The reason that he's one of the best young players in the game is not only because of his offensive abilities. He's a smart defensive center, and he's not afraid to shake it up. Witness:

Or...

He can score, though.

For the record, here's Ninja's picks from his site:

Eastern Conference
Ottawa
Rangers
Carolina
Buffalo (Finalist)
Philly
Toronto
Florida
Pittsburgh

Western Conference
Nashville
San Jose (Champs)
Calgary
Detroit
Anaheim
Minnesota
Vancouver
Columbus

Okay, here's mine. While JP has never been right about anything, it's all but set in stone these days that I was correct about the existence of black holes. That bigfoot thing is still kind of up in the air though. I figure I'm looking at something like 50/50. Anyway:

Eastern Conference
1. Philly
2. Buffalo
3. New York Rangers
4. Tampa Bay
5. Carolina
6. Ottawa
7. Boston
8. Montreal

Western Conference
1. San Jose
2. Detroit
3. Anaheim
4. Calgary
5. Nashville
6. Dallas
7. Colorado
8. Minnesota

Conference Finals
East: Buffalo vs. New York Rangers
West: San Jose vs. Calgary
Stanley Cup: San Jose over New York

That's right: FOUR TEAMS from the Northeast division will somehow make it to the playoffs.

Awards will magically appear in the comments at some point in time. Maybe.

Monday, October 2

A new year is upon us and that means it is time for the annual hockey predictions. I've never been right about anything.

1. Tampa Bay*
2. Buffalo*
3. New Jersey*
4. Philadelphia
5. Boston
6. Ottawa

Notes: * indicate division winners. Carolina and NY barely make it. Washington barely misses.

Western Conference
1. Detroit*
2. Anaheim*
3. Colorado*
4. San Jose
5. Minnesota
6. Nashville
7. Calgary
8. Columbus

Notes: * indicates division winners.

Conference Finals
East: Buffalo vs. New Jersey
West: Nashville vs. Anaheim

Cup winners and award winners in the comments.

I came across this post by accident.
