An early look at the standings shows that right now the Rangers will draft about 6th depending on how those ping pong balls bounce. And a look at the list of picks for the upcoming draft confirms my fondest hopes, that the Rangers haven't dealt their first pick this year. Phew.

Can anyone nab the title of "World's Dumbest GM" away from Bobby Clarke? In order to solve his always present 'goalie problem', this guy is contemplating trading for the back-up of a guy he traded away thinking he'd only ever be a back-up. Nice work!
Oh, and to answer the question in the first sentence... Yes. Glen Sather could do grab the title by trading his only youth for a 37 year old back-up goalie in a wasted attempt to make the playoffs.
