Okay, maybe I'm a jerk, but these Halloween costumes made me laugh.
There are some cracks in the armor. This is bad news for the players. Bad, bad, bad news. And while I'd hate to see Gary win in all this, I would like to see hockey even more. So, I guess it's good news. We'll see.
Oh, and the picture of Commodore in that first link is priceless.

Treasure Box. One of the coolest flash dealies I've ever seen. Not sure if it's a game or something else, but but it's definitely cool.

TORONTO, Ontario, Oct. 26 - Rumors are flooding the city of Toronto today, that many of the Maple Leaf players are deeply disturbed by the lack of commitment shown to the franchise by the team's ownership. Key players such as Mats Sundin, Gary Roberts, and Sergei Federov are said to have demanded a closed door meeting with the ownership group.
Nameless sources have leaked quotes indicating that the players are unhappy. "Those guys have found other ways of passing the time," said one player. Another added, "They've gone from B-button masters to mouse-clicking poker junkies faster than a 15 year-old screws his high-school sweetheart."
Ownership has denied the claims as a whole, though they have admitted that things have slacked off lately. Part-owner Steve Stone responded to the criticism by noting that the group has been out of the country. He added, "I think you're likely to see an increase in activity as things return to normal... And today is Tuesday!"

"Pure Bread Poneranium" dog. Not sure why this makes me laugh so much, but there you go.
You have to watch this...
1) People should not be able to take money for registrations.
2) They should freakin' wallop these people with serious fines or time.
3) The "girlfriend" who helped out is explaining on TV that she did this. She doesn't seem to understand that what she did was wrong.
4) The guy who looks like he's in jail or whatever... His laugh is AWESOME. He clearly doesn't think he did anything wrong, but I love him and think I'll be voting for him this November.
5) The haircut of the anchor on the right (at the end) is likewise AWESOME.

I watched the Discovery Channel special about SpaceShipOne last night. They are the first to complete the first leg of space flight needed in order to win the Ansari X Prize. And they're going for the second leg today. Anyway, I hope they make it. That shit looks scary. I'm not ready to go flying in space just yet, but it's nice to think about.
