So, we got this going for us, which is nice.

that's cooler than the 95% human/5% rabbit chimeric hybrid "they" are working on.
 
It's a neat trick, but old as balls. When carrots were first farmed, they were naturally purple or whitish. The Dutch, what with their national color being orange and all, bred and popularized the orange carrot we know today.
